1 lb ground turkey breast
1 ½ oz. extra-sharp cheddar cheese, divided
1 tsp canola oil
Salt and pepper
Condiments, buns or lettuce leaves for serving
Divide turkey breast meat into 6 equal balls and cheese into 3 equal portions. Place cheese between two balls of turkey meat and gently form burger around cheese. Repeat to form two additional burgers. Season with salt and pepper.
Heat oil in skillet over med-high heat and add burgers. Cook 3 ½ minutes on each side, total 7 minutes. Serve while hot with buns if desired, or wrapped in lettuce leaves, and condiments.
